Eco-Print with Food Waste Workshop and Clothing Swap
June 29 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Join us for a free Natural Dyeing Workshop led by Lauren Jones Paul of Sound as Color. Get an introduction to natural dying with everyday household items and give new life to old or stained clothing or textile goods you already own. In this workshop we will be using onion skins to eco-print your garment or fabric. Bring a piece of white or light colored clothing or textile made from at least 80% natural fiber (such as cotton, linen, hemp or silk) to use. We encourage you to recycle something you already own rather than buying something new. New items need to be washed in hot water prior to the workshop. Registering your attendance to this event is required and will add your name to our raffle giveaway!
I Love A Clean San Diego will also be having a small clothing swap station for folks to exchange clothing, shoes, and accessories for free. Please ensure items are free of rips, stains, or odors. Although donation is encouraged, it is not required for you to take home some new outfits!
Sound as Color is a locally based natural dye studio and small business encompassing a line of handmade naturally dyed goods as well as working with clients on custom naturally dyed pieces. Our goal is to deepen our connection with nature, mindfulness and creativity.
