Kenneth Moore

As Director, Ken Moore manages Intesa’s government relations, communications, and community outreach programs. Ken is focused on land use, sustainability, housing, and mobility issues in the San Diego region. Over his nearly decade-long career at various public affairs firms, Ken has created broad-based coalitions, developed award-winning outreach programs, and helped secure victories from city councils and at the ballot box. Ken was named a 2022 Next Top Business Leader Under 40 by the San Diego Business Journal and serves as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of I Love a Clean San Diego. Ken holds a B.A. in managerial organizational communications from Point Loma Nazarene University.

Bryce Hunter

Bryce has served on the I Love a Clean San Diego board for the past 4 years. Bryce serves as Assistant General Counsel at Mitchell International, Inc., providing legal advice and managing contract review and negotiation in support of its software and services offerings to insurance carriers and other businesses in the property and casualty insurance market. Prior to working with Mitchell, Bryce served as in-house counsel for a financial services company in La Jolla, supporting its investment advisory and broker dealer services. Bryce holds a JD from Pepperdine University School of Law, and has been a member of the State Bar of California since 2008. He holds a BA in political science from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Bryce and his family enjoy hiking and camping in the local mountains, and spending time on San Diego’s beautiful beaches.

Allison DeGeorge

Allison is an Associate Climate Solutions Director at Persefoni, a software company that empowers organizations to measure, report and reduce their carbon emissions. Her role is to support customers and prospects with technical advisory around greenhouse gas emissions inventories. Allison holds an Executive Masters in Sustainability Leadership from the ASU School of Sustainability. She is a San Diego County native, born and raised in North County. Allison and her family love enjoying the beaches and outdoor spaces in the county, and are proud to support the effort to keep our outdoors beautiful.

Tiana Austel

Tiana Austel (she/her) serves as senior manager for employee engagement at eBay where she supports inclusive entrepreneurship and a world-class employee giving and volunteering program. Prior to her role at eBay, Tiana was a senior CSR specialist at lllumina, a global leader in genomics, driving their employee engagement strategy.

 

Tiana is a certified diversity professional and has a bachelor’s degree in Communication & Media Studies and a minor in Food Studies from University of California, Los Angeles. Upon graduation, she won four prestigious service awards, including the Charles E. Young Humanitarian Award. Since then, she’s received the Benevity Unicorn Factor (BUFFY) Award in 2019 for leadership, innovation and impact in administering Goodness programs and is a current on the Board of Directors for the Center for Disaster Philanthropy.

 

Outside of her professional career, Tiana is a three-time Team USA figure skater and has represented US Figure Skating in France, Germany and Austria. She currently resides in San Diego, California.

Bill Haines

Bill Haines has been an ILACSD board member since January 2005. Before retiring recently, Bill was a commercial real estate broker with Cassidy Turley. Bill has been an active I Love A Clean San Diego volunteer and supporter of the environment for a number of years, including serving as a roving site captain of ILACSD’s countywide cleanup events. He is an avid volleyball player, surfer, triathlete, bicyclist and self proclaimed “beach rat.” He has also served as a member of the I Love A Clean San Diego marketing committee focusing on attracting corporate members.

Laura Atkinson

Laura is the Director of Customer Strategy and Transformation at San Diego Gas & Electric where she leads the company’s technology efforts focusing on customer engagement. Laura holds a degree in Computer Science and an MBA from the University of San Diego. Laura is a native southern California, who moved to San Diego after college. Laura loves the small-town community feel of San Diego, and believes San Diego is “America’s Finest City”. Laura enjoys all that San Diego county has to offer: beaches, waterways, mountains, desert.

Stephen Herring

Stephen Herring

Stephen Herring has 10 years of experience in the composting, recycling and solid waste industry. Starting in St. Louis MO with Republic Services, he has moved west for various roles over the years in Missouri, Arizona and now California. Currently Stephen, resides in Carlsbad Ca where he is the Municipal Manager, responsible for partnership with municipalities across North County San Diego. Personally, Stephen enjoys playing various musical instruments like the ukulele and guitar, exploring the great cuisine California has to offer and anything outdoors. Stephen is most excited to blend his professional and personal passion to help guide ILACSD into the future.

Jessica Joelson

Jessica most recently served as the VP Accounting & ESG at Measurabl Inc, where she initiated the Company’s internal ESG strategy and published the first and second annual sustainability programs. While Jessica has 15+ years of Accounting experience, she developed a passion for sustainability 6 years ago, earning a certificate in Sustainable Business Practices at UCSD and plans to migrate into a full-time ESG role.

Jessica enjoys connecting with the community on Sustainability topics and was recently featured on the San Diego Green Homes tour for the sustainable changes her family implemented on her existing residence. She also served two years as Treasurer on the San Diego Food System Alliance’s Board of Directors.

In her spare time, you can find Jessica outdoors mountain biking, paddle boarding, skiing or working in her vegetable garden.

Denise Z. Price

Denise is Senior Vice President at The Clay Company, an advocacy and public affairs firm. She brings more than 30 years’ experience working in government, at both the state and local level, uniquely blended with community relations, communication, and advertising skills.

Throughout the years, Denise has served on various boards and commissions including Your Safe Place Foundation, SDSU Board of Advisors, South County Economic Development Council, California Women Lead, North Park Communication Association and was appointed by former Speaker Villaraigosa to serve on the California Domestic Violence Program Advisory Council.

Denise was born and raised in San Diego and can be found teaching yoga in Balboa Park, Hiking Cowles Mountain or biking the Bayshore Bikeway.

Joe Mazzella

Joe Mazzella joined the I Love A Clean San Diego board in February 2022. He is a Product Counsel for Nutanix, Inc., and has worked as an in-house technology attorney for public and privacy companies, since 2015. Joe is a J.D. and M.B.A. graduate from Santa Clara University, and received his undergraduate degree in History from the University of California, Berkeley. He grew up in San Diego, and joined the board of ILACSD to help keep San Diego and its beautiful beaches clean. Joe and his wife love being outdoors, especially when it involves taking their dogs to the beach.

Veronique Simon

Veronique currently serves as Chief Information Officer (CIO) at General Dynamics NASSCO in San Diego, where she oversees information technology operation, security and innovation. She holds a bachelor degree in Civil Engineering from Laval University and studied Environmental Sciences at the National Institute for Scientific Research (INRS) in Canada. She also holds a master degree in Business Administration (MBA) from San Diego State University (SDSU). Veronique is passionate with making a difference in the work place and within the community. She believes strongly in the importance of preserving the health and beauty of our water resources, beaches and recreational areas for the generations to come. In her free time, she enjoys taking her dogs to the beach and hiking the many beautiful trails around the county with family and friends.
