DESCRIPTION:Join I Love A Clean San Diego\, Golden Eagles Farm\, members of Rogue Farm\, and the County of San Diego for our Care for Your County event! \nGet ready for a day full of fun\, music\, and community spirit! We have exciting activities lined up\, and you’ll be rewarded for participating in all of them with tiered prizes. \nClothing Swap \nPick up some finds and help divert textile waste from our local landfills. By participating\, you’ll be promoting a circular economy and making a positive impact on the environment! Bring your gently used clothing items and Halloween Costumes to exchange them for other items at no cost. No clothes to bring? No problem! Come and find some new-to-you pieces to take home. We will be having a donation limit of up to 2 grocery bags- please ensure they are lightly used with no rips\, stains\, or odors. \nWe will also be joined by Julian Pathways\, who will be tapping in with their jacket drive\, bread market\, as well as diapers and period products. \nDIY Workshop \nIn addition to the clothing and costume swap\, Erin Moody with Rogue Farm will be leading us in a Salsa Canning Class! We will be learning an introductory lesson on basic canning and its importance in regards to self-sufficiency\, saving money\, and reducing our waste! Produce will also be sourced by Rogue Farm\, keeping the ingredients local. Space is limited for this activity\, it will be first come first serve until the seats fill up! \nService Projects \nLast but not least\, there will be a multitude of volunteer opportunities available. Enjoy the music while you participate\, and don’t forget about our tiered prizes!
