Join I Love A Clean San Diego for our free Transform Food Waste: Natural Textile Dyeing with Food Scraps Workshop at the Encinitas Community Center on Saturday\, March 28 at 10:30 a.m. During this workshop\, we’ll cover: \n· How to reduce food waste in the kitchen\n· Why it’s so important to keep food waste out of landfills through composting and the organic waste recycling program\n· Tips and tricks on how to use the curbside green bin \nAttendees can participate in the natural textile dyeing activity facilitated by Sound as Color – get creative and upcycle food scraps into art on natural fiber clothing! Please bring a white 100% natural fiber textile to dye – see FAQ section on the registration page for more details. \nWe’ll also have the Sprouting Station open for attendees to plant native plant and vegetable seeds to take home and grow! \nRegistration is required. Thank you to the City of Encinitas for sponsoring this event!
