DESCRIPTION:This two (2) hour bus tour will give you a peek behind-the-scenes to find out what really happens when you dispose of waste and clear up the myth of throwing something “away”. \nThis event is available for City of San Diego residents ONLY. As a safety precaution\, long pants and close-toed shoes are REQUIRED. A signed waiver will be required at the start of the tour. This tour is not recommended for children under 12 years of age. SUMMARY:42nd Annual Coastal Cleanup Day
DESCRIPTION:The Ocean Conservancy and the California Coastal Commission partner with volunteer organizations\, such as I Love A Clean San Diego to create the largest\, international cleanup day. I Love A Clean San Diego leads the efforts for this day in San Diego County for the 41st year in a row. Data collected from this event feeds into the world’s largest database on marine debris. Join our efforts this year to be a part of this global event! \nThis year\, our countywide Coastal Cleanup Day will have around 100 + locations for volunteers to choose from\, inland and coastal. Each site is hosted by a site captain (a specially trained volunteer) who will manage volunteers on site\, properly dispose of the trash\, and report back totals. \nClick the registration link below to see our main page for more details and the map of locations to choose from.
